World Teachers’ Day is all about celebrating the power and respect of teachers, but it’s about more than that this year. The motto of the current World Teachers Day is “A Call for Teachers” which implores more people to take up the profession of teaching. Why? There just aren’t enough teachers for the number of students in many areas of the globe, including Nepal. This is obviously heavily opinionated, but it is a valid opinion. It was the belief of many teachers that a smaller class size is beneficial to discussion and interaction within the classroom, and that it promotes higher actual learning.
